Why Choose St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School

"We just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done for our children during their years at St. Patrick's Day School. We will never forget any of you or the special gifts you have bestowed so graciously upon us. And now that we have eight years behind us, we can look back and see that you have fulfilled every part of this prayer for our children."

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School offers a high quality educational experience in a nurturing environment. St. Patrick’s offers. . .

An exceptional faculty

Our teachers are selected carefully on the basis of academic qualifications, experience and the personal qualities each can bring to the school.  All full-time teachers have teaching credentials.  They are experienced, skilled and dedicated educators who are passionate about working with elementary students.

A strong academic program

Reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies form the core curriculum.  Multiple teaching strategies and interesting materials support thoughtfully planned lessons and lively hands-on learning opportunities.

A full complement of outstanding enrichment classes

Specialist teachers conduct weekly classes in music, art, computers, physical education, and Spanish with all grade levels.

Thoughtful spiritual and moral development

Academic growth is stressed in a safe caring environment where Christian spiritual and ethical standards are taught and lived.  There is a focus on building character and on developing a sense of responsibility for others.  All students attend chapel three times a week and participate in biweekly values classes.

An intimate setting

Classes are kept small deliberately.  Kindergarten through third grade classrooms have an instructional assistant who work with the homeroom teacher.  The small class size and the low teacher student ratio allows for substantial personal attention.

Updated facilities

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School is comprised of two classroom buildings, the new Canterbury Hall that was completed in late summer of 2005, and England Hall.  Canterbury Hall features nine up-to-date classrooms, a covered lunch deck, plus an expanded office area that includes a sick room.  England Hall holds classrooms dedicated for art, music, science, and computers as well as the special sixth grade area.  There are two large play areas used for recess and physical education.
